Our client, a healthcare related company, is looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a crucial role as an executive member of their team.

 

Qualifications:

  • Working with the executive members of the team and board to build and develop a financing strategy and go-public strategy.
  • Develop understanding of short-term and longer-term strategic goals and objectives including strengthening of marketing materials and investors pitch.
  • Management of the company cap table and financial modelling to identify and evaluate financing strategies.
  • Negotiate and work with investment banks and investors to secure a term sheet.
  • Identify investor list for private placement and/or potential bankers to financing and a go-public listing and co-ordinate investor meetings including handling special requests and negotiations.
  • Oversee the responsibility of the corporate controller including involvement in corporate budgetary planning, forecasting, revenue and expense modelling and financial reporting and monthly/quarterly reviews with the Board and office of the CEO and COO.
  • Engagement in human resource strategies by determining accountabilities; communicating and enforcing values, policies, and procedures, implementing recruitment, selection, orientation, training, coaching, counseling, disciplinary, and communication programs, as well as planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions while planning and reviewing compensation strategies.
  • Develops organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities, projecting acquisition and expansion prospects, analyzing organization operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement, accumulating capital to fund expansion including the structuring and developing of offers for M&A activity by the company.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years as a Chief Financial Officer or equivalent executive position.
  • Experience leading a go-public transaction or working in a publicly traded company is a must.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian and US tax.
  • Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CPA).
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with investment banks and institutional investors is a must.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken.
